On Father's Day, our Parish honored all those attending Mass with a renewal of vows. The small ceremony was very nicely done, and a dessert reception was held after the 11 AM Mass. Thank you to Marianne Koshland for the beautiful wedding cake, and congratulations to all of our married couples!

For the 2nd year in a row, Fr. Cannon Council 2607 has been awarded the Father McGivney award for increasing membership and the Columbian Award for outstanding programs. Over the past several years, our Knights have become more active in our Parish and in our communities. Congratulations to Grand Knight Art Clemente, the officers and members of our Council for your dedication and hard work.
This fall, our Knights of Columbus, Fr. Cannon Council 2607 invited our parish boys and girls in grades K through 7 to participate in the organization’s
international “Keep Christ in Christmas” poster contest.

This contest engaged the creative talents and imaginations of our young people with the hope that they will come
to a deeper understanding of the true, spiritual meaning of Christmas.

The contest winners advance to the district/region and then
to state, national and international levels. The winning entries will serve as the basis for a series of new Christmas posters that encourage a deeper understanding of the holiday. Our winners and their posters are shown to the right. Congratulations and thank you to all of our participants!
Congratulations to Kole Breslin for his winning entry in the K - 3rd grade section of our contest.

Additionally, Kole earned 2nd place in the State competition. Congratulations, Kole!
Congratulations to Angelina Bongiovanni for her winning entry in the 4th - 7th grade section of our contest.
Five Achieve Highest Level

Pictured to the left are New Sir Knights Robert Priest, Rick Verdecchio, Ralph Petrarca, ken Brown, and Scott Greenwald. Fr. Cannon Council the Recipient of Two Awards
Fr. Cannon Council 2607 received two awards recently. The first, pictured above and to the left, was in recognition of participating in the NJ State Council of the Knights of Columbus "Food for the Hungry" program. We coordinated, collected and distributed 2,188 pounds of food among several local food pantries. All of this was made possible by the generosity of our parishioners during our "40 Cans for Lent" program. Together, we make an awesome team!

Additionally, we received the Father McGivney Membership and Columbian Programs Award for 2014-2015, pictured above and to the right. The Father McGivney Award, named after the founder of the Knights of Columbus, is given to those councils who achieve an increase in membership of at least 7%. The Columbian Award is given to those councils who conduct and report at least four major programs in each of the Service Program categories: Church, Community, Council, Family, Culture of Life, and Youth. Thanks to all of our brother Knights who work tirelessly for the benefit of our Parish and our communities!
What Do We Do?
Every parishioner knows that the Knights hold various fundraisers throughout the year, such as spaghetti dinners, the monthly pancake & sausage breakfasts, and the current Welcome Spring raffle. However, many more activities, donations, and projects occur behind the scenes of which you are probably unaware. For a list of the time and treasure the Knights spend helping the parish and other charities, both within Salem County and outside, click here.

Recently, all families received a request from Fr. Chuck asking the men of the parish to consider joining the Knights. If you would like to be a part of the good things the Knights do, please call Art Clemente @ 609-420-5560.
